See it live: the new in-product AI takes center stage at the next WireMock Live session — save your seat here.
WireMock Cloud now has AI-first interfaces everywhere you work: locally in your coding agent, through the cloud, and directly inside the WireMock UI.
Together, three capabilities make advanced API simulation available almost instantly:
-
New Agent Skills: Our evolving library of Skills gives coding agents repeatable WireMock workflows - not just general instructions. Agents can build complete simulations, create stateful or data-driven behavior, validate stubs, and fix problems automatically.
-
New Remote MCP: Our new remote MCP server connects Claude Code, Codex, Copilot, Cursor, and other MCP-compatible tools directly to WireMock Cloud with no added installation. Your agent can understand the APIs in your codebase and create or update the simulations you need without leaving your development workflow. This builds off the previously released, popular local MCP bundled with the WireMock CLI.
-
New AI prompting in WireMock Cloud: Now in a limited beta, our new in-product AI interface brings the same natural-language workflow into the UI. Describe what you want to build or change, and WireMock does the underlying configuration. Contact us if you want to be added to the beta waiting list.
Here’s the new in-product AI interface in action:
You can ask your coding agent to scan a codebase, identify its external API dependencies, create simulations for them, and configure the application to use those simulations locally. You can provide API documentation or an OpenAPI specification and ask WireMock to create a complete simulation with realistic responses, stateful behavior, error cases, and contract validation.

Or you can open an existing mock in WireMock Cloud and ask:
- “Turn this order API into a stateful flow from pending to paid to refunded.”
- “Add a two-second delay and return a 503 for 10% of checkout requests.”
- “Use this CSV to return different account data for each customer.”
- “Validate these stubs against the OpenAPI specification and fix the errors.”

Work that previously required learning WireMock syntax, writing and debugging mappings, configuring advanced features, and repeatedly checking the result can now happen through a prompt - often in minutes. The time saving also continues after the first simulation is built. AI can help update mocks as APIs change, diagnose validation failures, add new test scenarios, and keep simulations useful instead of allowing them to drift.
And we want your feedback. Please get in touch as your teams use these capabilities - we will be learning alongside you to evolve.
See It All Live at WireMock Live
The next WireMock Live session with the WireMock engineering team puts the new in-product AI through its paces, live - plus how the remote MCP server connects WireMock Cloud to the coding agents you already use. Sign up to attend live and join the discussion; we’ll also send out a recap + recording after the event.
